NC Sen. Hagan to Chair Hearing on Nuclear Non-Proliferation Programs

U.S. Senator Kay Hagan, Chairman of the Subcommittee on Emerging Threats and Capabilities, will chair a hearing today at 2:30pm to review the President’s Fiscal Year 2014 request for nuclear non-proliferation programs at the Departments of Defense and Energy. To shed light on these programs, Hagan has called three expert witnesses to testify at the hearing:Â
·      Ms. Madelyn Creedon, Assistant Secretary of Defense for Global Strategic Affairs, who responsible for the policy aspects of these programs at DOD.
·      Mr. Ken Myers, Director of the Defense Threat Reduction Agency at the Department of Defense, which is focused on reducing the threats from weapons of mass destruction.
