Police Chief to be Announced Wednesday
Harold Medlock appears to be the unconfirmed choice for Fayetteville's police chief
Though nothing is confirmed, a flurry of rumors surrounding the identity of the new police chief was confirmed by Sunday's Fayetteville Observer report.
The official announcement occurs Wednesday by City Manager Ted Voorhees, but he confirmed Friday that Dallas' Malik Aziz had been notified that he was not selected for the position.
According to the report, frontrunner, Harold Medlock from Charlotte-Mecklenburg's police department was unable to be reached for comments.
