Armed Robbery Suspect Who Fled the Scene is Identified
100 mile car chase ends in felony charges.

After the 100 mile car chase that ended Monday night, the police released the identity of the Exxon robbery suspect.
Adrian Jason Roberts, 30, of 5704 Randleman Street, Fayetteville has been charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon and felony fleeing to elude arrest.
While deputies were busy cordoning off the crime scene, the suspect returned and was identified by witnesses. Deputies gave chase as the suspect led officers nearly 100 miles down Bingham Drive, Raeford Road, Skibo Road, back onto Raeford Road, down the All American Expressway, through Haymount and the downtown area. Then he drove into Eastover via I-95, into Harnett County and was finally stopped by stop sticks at mile marker 100 in Johnston County.

Roberts was placed in the Cumberland County Detention Center under a $25,000 secured bond. He is to make a first court appearance Tuesday afternoon in the Detention Center Courtroom at 2:30 p.m. Â
