Shooting Suspect Sought in Fayetteville

Authorities are asking the public's assistance in finding Brandon L. Strickland

 

Cumberland County Sheriff’s Detectives have obtained warrants for the arrest of a man wanted in connection with a shooting that happened shortly after noon in Fayetteville on Tuesday, April 30, 2013.

Brandon Legrant Strickland, 24, of 2599 Chason Road, St. Pauls is wanted on charges of assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury and firearm by felon.

Strickland is believed to have shot and seriously wounded Juwaan Bullock, 25,  of Fayetteville, when the pair became involved in a domestic dispute that turned violent.

Bullock suffered a gunshot wound to the abdomen. He was transported to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center via ambulance, where he underwent emergency surgery. Bullock remains in stable condition.

Strickland remains at large. He is described as a black male, five feet six inches tall and weighs 150 pounds. He has dreadlocks and several tattoos on his body. He is considered armed and dangerous. Anyone who knows of Strickland’s whereabouts is urged to contact the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office at (910) 323-1500.
