Guys and their cars, it's a common bond. Last week one of the top NHRA drivers got a look at some different kinds of vehicles on Fort Bragg and the soldiers who drive and maintain them as part of his V.I.P. tour.
The 16th Military Police Brigade hosted the renowned driver putting on demonstrations of a military working dog team from the 550th Military Working Dog Detachment. Tony also went behind the scenes to peer through tactical equipment from the special reaction team, 16th MP Brigade, and talked shop and leadership with the brigade commander, Col. Chad McRee.

No one in NHRA Top Fuel history has accomplished what Tony "The Sarge" Schumacher has behind the wheel of his U.S. Army Top Fuel dragster. The drive owns seven world titles, 69 career wins, 119 final round appearances and 71 career poles according to a U.S. Army report.
While many of the soldiers hold Tony in high regard, the U.S. Army champion was gracious and has much respect for the job that our military police have, especially over the last ten years at war.
