Wounded Warriors To Get Expedited Screening At Airports

The Transportation Security Administration announced this week that wounded warriors are eligible for expedited airport security screening.

TSA deputy administrator John Halinski (and 25-year Marine Corps veteran) said in a statement:

“In recognition of the sacrifices of our men and women in uniform, we have revised our screening requirements to allow expedited screening for this trusted group of citizens."

"Severely injured" service members will now be allowed to go through TSA security checkpoints without the need to remove shoes, hats, or light jackets, according to a TSA news release.

TSA will also offer wounded warriors curb-to-gate service.

Wounded warriors must contact the Military Severely Injured Joint Services Operations Center to be eligible for the new expedited screening.
