Hopewell High Violence Topic Of Wednesday Town Hall
Several recent incidents have led to a discussion about violence at Hopewell.
HUNTERSVILLE, NC — There will be a town hall forum Wednesday night with Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools Board Member Rhonda Cheek to discuss recent violence at Hopewell High School.
The meeting is at 7 p.m. Wednesday night at Lake Forest Church. Huntersville Police officers will be in attendance and the goal is for school officials, law enforcement and parents to come up with some solutions to recent violence.

Cheek has also called for metal detectors and clear backpacks after a firearm fell on the floor at Hopewell two weeks ago following a violent fight.
