Huntersville Temps Will Be Freezing Cold Tuesday Morning

HUNTERSVILLE, NC — Temperatures are expected to dip to freezing or even below freezing in the Lake Norman area Tuesday morning, so bundle up the kids before school and make sure to bring in pets and plants.

In Huntersville, weather.com predicts the temperature could dip as low as 31 degrees which would happen early Tuesday morning around 6 a.m.

Temperatures won't stay that low for long though, expect them to climb back up to the mid 60s on Tuesday.

So how on earth do you dress for freezing temps that rise to the mid 60s? Check out these tips from the National Weather Service.

• Wear layers of loose-fitting, lightweight, warm clothing, and a hat.
• Mittens, snug at the wrist, are better than gloves.
• Cover your mouth to protect your lungs from cold.
