Leaky Water Valve Prompts Lane Closure In Huntersville

HUNTERSVILLE, NC — A lane closure is planned this week for a Huntersville thoroughfare as crews work to repair a leaking water valve.

The lane closure of Bud Henderson Road near Gilead Road will begin Nov. 2 and will continue occasionally throughout the week, Charlotte Water said Monday morning.

  • Monday, Nov. 2 — Work on valve at the Bud Henderson Road/ Mercer Drive intersection
  • Tuesday, Nov. 3 — Test water outage in immediate area for an estimated few hours (9 a.m. — noon)
  • Wednesday, Nov.4 — Planned water outage (customers informed in advance) between 9 a.m. - 4 p.m.
  • Thursday, Nov. 5 — Restoration
  • Friday, Nov. 6 — Restoration
