Live Fire Training Burn Set For Saturday In Huntersville: HFD

HUNTERSVILLE, NC — Huntersville residents should expect to see smoke near Stumptown and Old Statesville roads Saturday morning.

"No need to call 911 to report the fire, we will be on scene and in control of the event," Huntersville Fire Department said Friday.

HFD will be conducting a live fire training by burning down the old Boy Scout Hut located next to Huntersville United Methodist Church located at 13733 Stumptown Road, it said Friday.

"You will see flames, smoke, firefighters and fire apparatus on scene throughout the morning," HFD said. "We plan to keep the roadway open and hope to not interfere with normal day-to-day operations in the area."
