HUNTERSVILLE, NC βThe family of Huntersville resident Amee Hager announced in a Saturday post on Caring Bridge that Hager had died from COVID-19. Hager was the wife of the late Jeff Hager, a longtime Charlotte and Huntersville firefighter who died of COVID-19 on Sept. 10.
"To our dear friends and family, it is with broken hearts that we share this with you. Our precious Amee has lost the battle with this horrible Covid. She is no longer in pain or struggling to breathe," read the post from Tina and Randy Miller, whom the Charlotte Observer reported were Amee Hager's parents.
"Our hearts are shattered and there are no words to explain the pain and grief we are feeling. I only pray that we can find the right words to tell Amee and Jeff's precious children that now, both their parents are gone."
