  1. Looking for a fireworks show tonight? Celebrate America Fireworks Show, today, July Fourth at 10:30 p.m. at Carowinds - Charlotte. The Fireworks Show will be accompanied by a soundtrack, and it will be visible throughout the park. Hope to see you there! (Visit Lake Norman)
  2. Mooresville’s Street Mill & Overlay Project will continue Wednesday-Friday. Milling work will be done on Secretariat Lane, Blue Grass Circle, Drawbridge Court, Citation Drive, Round Keep Lane, and Shining Armor Court. Paving will be done on E. McLelland Avenue (between Main & Church Street), Secretariat Lane, Blue Grass Circle, Drawbridge Court and Citation Drive. The milling process removes the top layer of worn-out asphalt. Blythe Construction, Inc. will be completing the work and will distribute door hangers to impacted residents and businesses a day prior to work being done in that area. Residents and businesses are being asked to remove parked vehicles from the road between 7:30 a.m.-5 p.m., keep children and pets out of the freshly resurfaced road and do not use lawn sprinklers, wash cars, etc. the day of the resurfacing.   3. The search and rescue mission for the missing Lake Norman boater was concluded when the body of 16-year old Keith Austin was found by Cornelius-Lemley Fire Rescue. He had reportedly disappeared near the D9 area on Lake Norman close to Washam Road on Saturday. His body was found on Sunday afternoon. According to WBTV, a GoFundMe page has been set up for the family. (Sportskeeda, WBTV)
