Congratulations to Austin Haessly of Mooresville for coming in second this weekend in the 17-18 class at the 2023 USA Cycling Gravity Mountain Bike National Championships, which were held in Zirconia, North Carolina. His category was the fastest of all the amateur categories. (Endurance Sportswire)
2. The North Carolina Department of Motor Vehicles License Plate Agency in Mooresville is closed this week for vacation. According to a tweet from the NCDOT Charlotte Area, "Customers can visit offices this week in Salisbury, Huntersville, Kannapolis or Concord. Online services are available at http://MyNCDMV.gov. The office reopens next Monday, July 24."(North Carolina DOT via Twitter)
