- It has been confirmed that a tornado did in fact touch down in Iredell County on Saturday morning. According to WCNC Weather, "the tornado developed over Lake Norman and crossed I-77 towards Mooresville around 7:30 a.m. [on] Saturday. It was on the ground for 7.79 miles. The storm report cited snapped trees among other property damage. (KJ Jacobs WCNC via Twitter)
