- Race fans, the limited-edition NASCAR Truck body of the No. 38 Ford F-150 NASCAR has been officially announced by ARRMA RC and Front Row Motorsports. According to SpeedwayMedia.com, "The body is a fully licensed replica of the ARRMA sponsored Front Row Motorsports truck to be driven by Zane Smith this weekend at the World Wide Technology (WWT) Raceway. Pre-orders are available now for the body that fits on the ARRMA 1/7 Infraction 6S BLX. You can pre-order on the link here: www.horizonhobby.com." (SpeedwayMedia.com)
- Kali Morton was one of 56 players named to the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) Division III All-America Team. A junior pitcher at Pfeiffer University, Morton is from Mooresville. Quite the athlete, she has amassed a number of accolades on the field including earning Third Team honors, registering 175 strikeouts on the season, being named league pitcher of the week three times, to the All-USA South First Team and to the USA South All-Tournament Team. She was also tabbed the NFCA National Pitcher of the Week on April 18 and was named an NFCA All-Region selection last week. In addition, according to the Mooresville Tribune, "Morton earned a pair of wins in the NCAA Division III Regional Tournament, helping the Falcons to a championship game appearance before falling to No. 20 Rowan."
