Festival Of Food Trucks Returns Saturday In Downtown Mooresville

MOORESVILLE, NC — The Festival of Food Trucks returns to downtown Mooresville this weekend, promising a variety of food offerings ranging from BBQ and tacos to wings, dumplings and lobster rolls.

The monthly event runs from 5 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on North Main Street between Center Avenue and Iredell Avenue on Saturday, Aug. 7.

"It gets crowded so come early, bring a chair, bring a friend and hang out in Downtown Mooresville," organizers say.

Here's a rundown of food trucks participating in the Aug. 7 event:

• Dumpling Girls
• Katie's Snack Shack & More
• Lobster Dogs
• MarlieQ's Caribbean Queen
• Ole Buddy's Oinker Express
• OooWee BBQ
• Sandwich Express
• SOBER Mobile Bar
• Taco Green-Go
• Too Cheesy Food Truck
• Wingz on Wheelz

Future Festival of Food Truck events are planned for Sept. 4 and Oct. 2, according to Downtown Mooresville.

The festival is one of several family-friendly summer events planned in downtown Mooresville this summer.

This Friday, Mooresville area residents will have an opportunity to enjoy live music under the stars at the new Liberty Park Amphitheater.

Concerts are free and open to the public. "Bring your blanket or chairs for the lawn seating and enjoy food trucks, activities, vendors and more at the Liberty Park Summer Concert Series," say organizers.

Here is the 2021 Summer Concert Series lineup:

• Friday, Aug. 6 — Parmalee, 6:30 p.m. - 8 p.m.
• Friday, Aug. 20 — The Catalinas, 6 p.m. - 8 p.m.
• Friday, Aug. 27 — Band of Oz, 6 p.m. - 8 p.m.

Liberty Park is located at 255 East Iredell Avenue in Mooresville.
