- It's time for the 2023 Festival of Food Trucks, which is being held on Broad Street from Center Avenue to Moore Avenue and Main Street from Center Avenue to Iredell Avenue on Saturday, May 6 from 5 to 8:30 p.m. There will be 15 trucks with live music by Coddle Creek and Social District Beverages available from 158 on Main, 202 Fine Wine & Spirits, Bae’s Burgers, Dive Bar, Dulcet & Delish, Murto Made Distillery, NC Provisions Company, On Tap and Summit Coffee. - Currently, Iredell County is surveying residents about affordable housing in the county. It’s part of their efforts for HUD’s HOME Investment Partnerships Program, which is the largest federal block grant to state and local governments to create affordable housing for low-income households. - The Town of Mooresville is looking to hire a recreation assistant for the Selma Burke Recreation Center. They are looking for someone who is dynamic and creative, who enjoys providing quality recreation services to the community. They must also have a background in recreation programming and activities as well as some experience working with preschool, youth, teens, and adults in athletics and a programming setting. According to the Town of Mooresville Facebook post, "There is a $2,000 sign on bonus. If you or someone you know is interested, please apply online at MooresvilleNC.gov/HR."
