'Great Young Role Model For Everyone': Mooresville Hero

MOORESVILLE, NC — When times are tough, heroes emerge. We all know someone who's making a difference right now as we live through unprecedented and changing times.

Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize these heroes making a difference in their communities. Together with Ring, we’re working to let all your neighbors know about these outstanding people and their stories.

This submission comes from a Byers Creek neighbor who nominated Cooper LeQuire of Mooresville.

Hero's job: Student at Lake Norman High School
Relationship to nominee: A neighbor in the community - his teenage son
Reason for recognition: Cooper is a great young role model for everyone. He volunteers his time daily whether it’s in the community or at his school. He goes above and beyond by doing whatever he can to help the community, teams, schools etc. He is willing and ready to help!
