Here are the top stories in Mooresville today:
- Hope of Mooresville (HOMe) is expanding. In an effort to meet the needs of women and children in the community who are facing housing difficulties, the organization is expanding its services and opening a second house. According to a press release from HOme, "The Centre Presbyterian Church will be providing their former parsonage, located at 110 Centre Church Road, at no cost to HOMe. HOMe is planning an Open House for the community to tour the home in December. Each room will be adopted by a church or business and fully decorated. [The first family will be welcomed] at the new home in January 2024." (Hope of Mooresville)
- The Carolina Pie Company in Mooresville made the list of "Where to buy the best pies in the Charlotte area." The Carolina Pie Company is a well-known spot, which has been serving up delicious confections for three generations. According to the Charlotte Observer customers should try menu favorites like the frozen margarita pie spiked with tequila and orange liqueur (careful, now) or a seasonal strawberry peach pie." - There will be a Walk to End Alzheimer's this Saturday, Sept. 23 at 247 Cornelius Road, Mooresville. There are 1 mile and 2 mile route options.
