Man Arrested For Selling Drugs Near Mooresville High School: Police
The Mooresville Police Department has arrested a convicted felon for intent to distribute cocaine, MDMA and marijuana, all near a school.
MOORESVILLE, NC — Mooresville Police Department's narcotics division have arrested Gordon Cortel Serrano for selling drugs near Mooresville High School, according to police.
They executed a search warrant Thursday at a home on Cabarrus Avenue after complaints of illegal drug activity and discovered a plethora of drugs inside.
Detectives seized one pound of marijuana, 30 grams of cocaine, 74 dosages of MDMA (ecstasy), a sawed-off shotgun and a handgun inside the residence.

Serrano was charged with trafficking cocaine, possession with three counts of intent to sell and deliver a controlled substance within 1,000 feet of a park, one count each for marijuana, cocaine and MDMA, as well as possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and possession of a weapon of mass destruction, which was for the sawed-off shotgun.
Serrano was also charged with a misdemeanor, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and was placed in the Iredell County Detention Center under a $280,000 secured bond.
