Missing Iredell Man Located, Silver Alert Canceled: ICSO

IREDELL COUNTY, NC — A missing 45-year-old Iredell County man was located Wednesday and reunited with his family, according to the Iredell County Sheriff's Office.

On Aug. 24, ICSO activated a Silver Alert and asked for community help locating Travis Shane Turner, 45, who had not been seen by his family since Sunday afternoon.

Turner, who has a health condition, has not been seen by his family since he drove away from his home in eastern Iredell County around 1 p.m. on Aug. 22, ICSO said in a statement. He was last known to be wearing a blue tank top and black shorts and was driving a 2002 Mercury Grand Marquis with NC tag EKX-6455, ICSO said.

Wednesday, Iredell County Sheriff Darren Campbell expressed gratitude for community response.

"The Iredell County Sheriff's Office would like to thank you for the assistance in locating Mr. Travis Shane Turner," Campbell said. "He is safe and home with his family."
