MOORESVILLE, VA — A Mooresville man is facing a robbery charge after he was arrested Wednesday evening and accused of holding up a local bank. Bradley Joseph Clyne, 58, was charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon, according to the Mooresville Police Department.

The robbery took place at about 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Fifth Third Bank at 498 River Highway, in the Port Village shopping center, the police said.

Bank employees said that a man speaking with an English or Scottish accent walked into the Fifth Third branch and demanded money. He then walked out of the bank with an undisclosed amount of cash and got into a blue car, described as a Chevrolet Aveo or Cobalt with chrome trim around the trunk, WSOC-TV Channel 9 reported.
