MOORESVILLE, NC — The Mooresville Police Department is inviting citizens to learn what it's like to be a part of law enforcement during an 11-week learning academy.

During the academy, students learn from police department personnel who are experts in areas such as K9, narcotics, investigations, patrol operations, traffic, and other fields.

Civilians who participate are shown presentations, demonstrations, and hands-on scenarios designed to give the participants a better understanding of the roles, duties, and responsibilities of officers.
