Mooresville Teen Charged In Child Porn Investigation

A Mooresville teenager has been arrested and charged for involvement and possession of child pornography.

MOORESVILLE, NC — Mooresville Police received a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children that led them to a person involved in child pornography, according to the department.

Mooresville Police tapped Detective Lawing, a member of the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, to investigate. Lawing interviewed the person mentioned in the tip, and conducted forensic analysis of his electronics.

According to Lawing, he discovered evidence of both involvement and possession of child pornography.

Magnus Richard Trimbach, 18, of Mooresville, was charged with 16 counts of third-degree sexual exploitation of a minor and two counts of second-degree sexual exploitation of a minor. Trimbach was arrested and placed in the Iredell County Detention Center under a $150,000 secured bond.
