NC Winter Weather: Chances Of Snow Low, Bitter Cold On The Way

There could still be ice on the roads Friday and Saturday even if there isn't a bunch of snow like earlier this week.

NORTH CAROLINA — The chances of snow have fallen in the Charlotte and Lake Norman region, but expect temperatures to plummet and usher in a bitter cold.

Thursday night into Friday there is still a chance of flurries and freezing rain, but not what we saw earlier in the week where 2-4 inches of snow and ice blanketed much of the area.

Friday, expect to spend the entire day below freezing, which if there's still any water of precipitation on the road means more ice and dangerous driving conditions.
