- JR Motorsports has signed Sam Mayer for another season in 2024. According to Essentially Sports, "Sam currently sits at the 5th spot in the driver standings going into the first round of the playoffs at Bristol." (EssentiallySports)
- Help support future NASCAR Technical Institute students by stopping by the school on Saturday, Sept. 15 at 5 p.m. for a fundraiser event to raise scholarship money for students who may not be able to afford the tuition. - The current blood supply at the Red Cross is at “critically low levels” causing the organization to seek out donors assertively. According to the Mooresville Tribune, "The organization, which provides about 40 percent of U.S. blood and blood components, announced on its website Monday that this national blood shortage is potentially threatening the medical care of patients who might have an emergency need for blood or those who depend on lifesaving blood transfusions for conditions such as cancer or sickle cell disease. Volunteers can make appointments online to give blood or platelets at the website RedCrossBlood.org or by calling 1-800-RED-CROSS." (Subscription: Mooresville Tribune)
