- The ribbon has officially been cut at the Selma Burke Middle School signifying its grand opening. The building is ready to receive students in a few short weeks and the Mooresville Graded School District is elated. (Iredell Free News)
- The Festival of Food Trucks is just around the corner. On Saturday, Aug. 5 on Broad Street from Center Avenue to Moore Avenue and Main Street from Center Avenue to Iredell Avenuefrom 5 to 8:30 p.m., the festival will be lining the streets with good eats for everyone. Bring a chair, a friend and your appetite! In addition to food, there will also be live music and special sales. Hope to see you there! (Downtown Mooresville)
- You're invited to the Town of Mooresville’s ribbon-cutting event on Aug. 7 at 4:30 p.m. at 750 W. Iredell Ave. to celebrate the official opening of the One Mooresville Center. According to the town of Mooresville's website, "the Town spent $1.9 million to renovate and revitalize the building from the former Mooresville Police Department into a one-stop shop for residents, businesses, and contractors to work with Planning and Community Development, the newly created Building Permitting & Inspections Department, and the Fire Marshal’s Office."
