  1. On Saturday, Aug. 19 from noon to 2:30 p.m., it's Thrashers Weekend and Skating Extravaganza! Meet up at the Mooresville Skate Park for an extraordinary skateboarding event. All are welcome and admission is free. Hope to see you there!" (Visit Mooresville NC via Instagram)
  2. As part of Mooresville's 150th Celebration, a special Meet & Greet experience has been arranged with the U.S. Olympic Bobsled Team. The event will take place at the Bands, Brews & BBQ Festival Presented by DeBotech, Inc. Mark your calendars for Saturday, Sept. 16, from 4-9 p.m. These incredible, elite, athletes represent Team USA and this is your chance to meet them and learn how Mooresville is an integral part of bobsled racing.   3. There are two new Mooresville Arts exhibits on display at the Depot. One is the 150 Challenge Group Exhibit and the other is Emergence: Under 40 Juried Exhibit. Both shows are unique and introspective. According to Iredell Free News, "Gallery Hours are Tuesday-Friday from 12 to 4 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Most of the artwork is for sale, and art sales directly benefit participating artists and Mooresville Arts, a nonprofit arts gallery and organization."
