South Charlotte Home Engulfed In Flames In Early Morning Fire

Charlotte fire crews are investigating a fire that broke out in a two-story home overnight fire on Hardison Road.

CHARLOTTE, NC — Charlotte Fire Department is investigating an early morning fire that engulfed a two story home in south Charlotte, it said Monday morning.

A report of “heavy smoke and flames showing” was made for the home in the 5000 block of Hardison Road shortly after 2 a.m. July 16. Firefighters on the scene had the fire controlled in about an hour, CFD said. There were no injuries reported, it added.

The investigation into the fire’s cause will continue Monday morning “after sunrise due to safety,” CFD said.
