Teenager Killed In Memorial Day Wreck On I-77
A father was seriously injured and his 17-year-old son killed after he lost control along I-77 Monday afternoon, according to reports.

CHARLOTTE, NC — A father was seriously injured and his 17-year-old son killed Monday in a single car crash along Interstate 77, according to reports.
The wreck, which occurred around 2 p.m. near Interstate 485 in southwest Charlotte May 28, claimed the life of Justice Freeman, WBTV reported. His father, Richard Freeman, was driving at a high rate of speed and ran off the left shoulder and lost control, according to the station.
Freeman overcorrected and ran off the right side of the interstate, striking a guardrail, road signs and a tree, WBTV said.

The accident created delays along Interstate 77 as North Carolina Highway Patrol conducted a fatality accident investigation.
