Get into the holiday spirit with a special edition of “Paint Your Pet,” a joyful evening where you can create a custom portrait of your beloved pet at the JB Duke Hotel, a AAA Four Diamond hotel located on the campus of Duke University. Whether furry, feathered or scaled, this event lets you capture your companion’s personality with a cheerful seasonal twist. Guests are encouraged to add fun holiday flair to their portraits, from Santa hats to reindeer antlers, for a whimsical touch.
Led by expert artist Victoria Lowry, the workshop is priced at $65 and includes one-on-one instruction, all painting materials and an 11”x14” pre-sketched canvas of your pet. To ensure a seamless creative process, reference photos must be submitted in advance to victorialowryart@gmail.com by December 15. No prior experience is necessary – just bring your holiday cheer and love for your pet!
In celebration of the giving season, $20 from every ticket sold will be donated to the Animal Protection Society of Durham, supporting the care and adoption of animals in need.
Guests can sip festive cocktails during the event, including the hotel’s signature eggnog, with shareable small plates and creative entrées available for purchase from the JB Duke Hotel’s chic Lobby Lounge.
