In spite of the holiday, it's a full weekend for some of Avon's Little Leaguers.
Rookie and Minors teams were playing Friday night. T-Ball, Coach Pitch, Rookies, Ponytail, Minor Softball, Major and Minor Baseball teams were all set to play beginning at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, with some games set for Saturday night.
Two Challenger games are set for 5 p.m. Sunday at . No games are being played on Memorial Day.

There are about 1,200 boys and girls playing in Avon Little League this year, most between the ages of 5 and 13. There are 84 teams in the T-Ball, Coach Pitch, Rookie Minor, Major and Challenger leagues. This year, Avon Patch is sponsoring a team.
