Avon Pride Days Clean-Up Wraps Up

Area BMX riders put on show

While the gorgeous weather of this past weekend made clean-up and beautification projects around Avon as part of easier, it also may have kept some volunteers away, said , city recycling coordinator and director of Pride Days.

Even though individual volunteer turnout was low, a lot of civic groups and businesses stepped up to do projects around town, as well as donate materials for projects. donated flats of flowers. and Buds-N-Blooms of Sheffield Village donated design work, materials and labor for landscaping and Avon Isle Park. The Avon Garden club did plantings at the gazebo in Heritage Square and planter boxes on the French Creek bridge on Detroit Road.
