Avon School, Library Levies Pass

After some early returns that may have had supporters of the Avon school levy nervous, later results carried the day and Issue 3 passed, 2,156-1,411 in the May 3 election.

Issue 20, the a five-year, $460,029 , passed comfortably, 2,344-1,213. The levy will cost Avon homeowners about $17.16 per $100,000 of home value.

Issue 3 is a five-year, $1.8 million . Like the library levy, it's a renewal and does not affect property taxes much if at all. Homeowners will pay about $70.76 per $100,000 of property value.
