Crushers Get First Shutout of Season
Team takes two of three in series against Normal Cornbelters

Travis Risser, Kelyn Schellenberg and Ruben Flores combined to pitch a five-hit shutout and the defeated the Normal Cornbelters, 1-0, Thursday night at .
It was the first shutout of the season for the Crushers (6-6). Risser (1-2) was credited with the win.
Nick Mahin hit a single to drive home Andrew Davis from third base in the sixth inning for the game's only run.

The loss was the fifth one in the last six games for the Cornbelters (5-7).
The Crushers now head out on a six-game road trip, playing a three-game series in Marion, Ill., against the Southern Illinois Miners Friday through Sunday, and, after a day off on Monday, play a three-game series at the Cornbelters. They return to Avon for a six-game homestand starting June 10 against the Miners and the Traverse City Beach Bums.
