
An eighth-inning rally led the to a 7-3 win over the Rockford RiverHawks on Thursday night in Rockford, Ill., ending the Crushers' franchise-record seven-game losing streak.
According to a release from the team, the Crushers scored three runs in the top of the eighth to break a 3-3 tie. Kellen Kulbacki added a solo home run in the ninth. The Crushers finished with 11 hits. Zac Messer went 2-for-2 with a pair of singles.Â
Kelyn Schellenberg (1-0) pitched two and a third innings of scoreless relief to earn his first professional win.

The Crushers (8-17) face Rockford at 8:05 p.m. Friday in Rockford.  Greg Hendrix (0-2, 5.54 earned run average) will get the start for the Crushers.
