Crushers' Offense Goes Flat in Loss

Traverse City wins, 4-1.

The were held to one run on five hits in Thursday's 4-1 loss to the Traverse City Beach Bums in front of a crowd of 1,936 at .

According to the official box score, Beach Bums pitcher Bryan Banes (4-0, 3.26 earned run average) pitched six innings, giving up a run on four hits to get the win. 

Robert Wendzicki (0-1, 9.00), a Brookpark native, was charged with the loss. He gave up  four runs on four hits in four innings in his first professional start.

Andrew Davis hit a double to score Nick Mahin in the sixth inning for the Crushers' lone run. Mahin extended his on-base streak to 17 games. Joel Collins had two hits, extending his on-base streak to 10 games.

The two teams wrap of their series at 7:05 p.m. Friday. Paul Fagan (1-4, 5.58) is slated to start for the Crushers
