
Josh Roberts, Kelyn Schellenberg and Ruben Flores had strong pitching performances, and the defense made no errors, as the snapped a four-game losing streak with a 6-1 win over the Normal Cornbelters onWednesday night in Normal, Ill.
Roberts (2-2, 5.40 earned run average) gave up a run in the bottom of the first, but scattered just four hits in the remaining five innings he pitched. Schellenberg pitched two shutout innings and Flores pitched a perfect ninth inning to wrap up the win for the Crushers (7-10).
Andrew Davis had three hits and an RBI for the Crushers, extending his on-base streak to all 17 games this season. Zac Messer also had three hits and an RBI.

The Crushers and Cornbelters play at 8 p.m. Thursday in the Corn Crib.  Paul Fagan (0-2, 7.30 ERA) gets the start for the Crushers.
The Crushers return home Friday to start a three-game series with the Southern Illinois Miners at . Game time is 7:05 p.m. There will be fireworks after the game.
