Crushers' Win Streak Ends at Three

Patrick Norris' hitting streak grows to seven games in Crushers' loss

The lostto the Windy City Thunderbolts, 5-1, Tuesday night in front of 1,790 at , ending the team's winning streak at three games.

According to the official box score, Windy City pitcher Dustin Williams (4-2) had a no-hitter through six innings, allowing just two walks, before Patrick Norris singled to start the bottom of the seventh to break up the no-hitter. Norris later scored on a bases-loaded single by Scott Houin for the Crushers' lone run.

Norris extended his hitting streak to seven games with that single.

Jairo Cuevas (0-1) allowed four runs on eight hits in five innings to take the loss for the Crushers.

The Crushers (11-19) begin a three-game series Wednesday against the  Traverse City Beach Bums at All Pro Freight Stadium. Randy Sturgill (0-0, 9.00 earned run average) gets the start for the Crushers. Game time is 7:05 p.m.
