A woman called Avon police around 2:48 a.m. on Feb. 21, saying she was awakened by gunshots near her home in the 4200 block of Center Road.
It turned out a tree fell in her front yard.

Avon police spotted some kids throwing snowballs into the road in the 4600 block of Greenview Court around 9 p.m. on Feb. 22.
Police brought the children home and told their parents about the problem.

Police were called around 4:16 p.m. Feb. 23 to the 3600 block of Wetherhill Court because a girl was hit with an icicle by another girl after a snowball fight got out of hand. After determining no one was hurt, police talked with all four of the girls, around 11 or 12 years old, involved in the fight.
It Wasn't 4:20
A man called Avon police while driving west on Interstate 90 in town around 1:26 p.m. on Feb. 23 and told them he was following a gray Dodge Stratus with yellow plates, and it appeared that the driver was smoking a bong.
Police also notified Sheffield Village police, but were not in position to find the car.
