Girl Scouts Wrap Up Successful Cookie Sale
Heinen's sale was last local chance for Thin Mints.
Avon Villagers Girl Scouts Troop 956 is wrapping up a solid season of Girl Scout Cookie sales, and held one last local sales event at on Saturday.
The girls were hoping to sell 100 boxes, as they did two weekends ago at .
Each scout sold about 200 boxes on her own, said Michele Welshhans, one of the troop leaders.

Sherry Lunt, another troop leader, said money raised helps pay for field trips and community service projects for the troop, as well as the annual camping trip to Camp Y-Noah in Clinton, OH.
The three girls working on Saturday -- Emily Welshhans, Olivia Battistoni and Hope Lunt -- are Cadettes and are working on merit badges.

"The best part is being with my friends," Hope said.Â
Men favor Thin Mints, the girls said. Women like Samoas. Kids like the peanut butter cookies like Tagalongs or Do-Si-Dos, and Thin Mints.
Sherry Lunt said she'd seen a lot of interest in Lemon Chalet Cremes this year.
"The best part of this is making people happy," said Olivia.
"It's great to see all the smiles," Emily said.
