Kountis is in his first season with the Crushers, taking over the closer’s role from last year’s star Ruben Flores. It has taken him very little time to establish himself as one of the premier back-of-the-bullpen pitchers in the Frontier League.
The 2012 Frontier League All-Star game will take place in Normal on July 11. For ticket information, visit the Normal Cornbelters’ website at http://www.normalbaseball.com/.
