We climbed trees, made forts on boulders, nibbled wild strawberries and blackberries, rode our bikes, put on plays in the back yard (we sold tickets to make money for UNICEF), swam in the pool, daydreamed in the hammock and caught frogs in the pond. I actually won a frog-jumping contest at the town's tercentennial celebration. His name was Phinneas T. Frog.
