Moms Talk: Go the (Bleep) to Sleep

New book resonates with parents weary of bedtime battles

Night has fallen, and you're just about ready to.

One small problem. Your child wants to stay up. There's the cajoling for one more story. a glass of water, a trip to the bathroom, more snuggle time. Maybe there's a screaming tantrum or an escape attempt.

One parent has spun his bedtime battles into gold. Adam Mansbach turned a Facebook post about what he wished he could tell his small daughter into the hit new book, "Go the (rhymes-with-duck) to Sleep."

Picture a whimsical children's bedtime story. But instead of gentle nursery rhymes about saying goodnight to the moon, we get a profane telling of a parents' attempt to get their offspring to, well, go the (bleep) to sleep.

And, in a stroke of casting genius, Samuel L. Jackson was brought in to be the voice for the audiobook. He probably hasn't dropped this many F-bombs since "Snakes on a Plane."
