Offense Sputters Again in Crushers' Loss

Losing streak now at five

Once again, the couldn't get its offense in gear, getting only one extra-base hit in their 7-1 loss to the Traverse City Beach Bums Monday night in front of a crowd of 2,536 at .

The loss was the fifth straight for the Crushers (7-15).

Traverse City (9-13) ended a two-game losing streak with the win.

According to the official box score, Kellen Kulbacki's double in the seventh inning was the only extra-base hit for the Crushers. He later scored on a groundout by Joel Collins.

Josh Roberts (2-3, 5.11 earned run average) bounced back after a rough start, retiring the last 14 batters he faced. He pitched seven innings and gave up three runs and six hits for the loss.

The two teams play again Tuesday at 7:05 p.m. Paul Fagan (0-3, 5.89) gets the start for the Crushers.
