Patrick Norris' Hit Streak Comes to End in Crushers' Loss
Crushers lose another one at Windy City

Windy City Thunderbolts pitcher Dustin Williams struggled a bit at first, but held the scoreless to lead the Thunderbolts to a 2-0 win Sunday night in Crestwood, Ill.
The Crushers (13-22) lost their second straight game to the Thunderbolts. It was also their third loss in the last four games.
Patrick Norris was held hitless as his 10-game hitting streak came to an end.

According to a report from the Crushers, Williams loaded the bases in the first inning before striking out Kellen Kulacki to end the threat. Williams (5-2, 3.21 earned run average) gave up five hits while striking out seven and walking four in seven innings' work to get the win.
Jairo Cuevas (0-2, 5.79) had a solid night for the Crushers, retiring 13 in a row at one point. He gave up two runs on five hits for the loss. Travis Risser had another good relief performance, coming in with with runners at the corners and nobody out in the bottom of the sixth. He shut down that threat and pitched three scoreless innings, giving up just two hits.

Joel Collins had two hits for the Crushers. Nick Mahin had a single to extend his on-base streak to 20 games. Jason Taylor singled to stretch his on-base streak to 16 games.
The two teams play at 11:05 a.m. Monday. Randy Sturgill (1-0, 4.50) gets the start for the Crushers.
The Crushers are off on Tuesday before starting a six-game homestand on Wednesday. Tickets are still available for all games in the homestand.
