Police Blotter: It Wasn't the Avon Lady Ringing the Doorbell

Avon police were called around 10:30 p.m. May 13 after about 15 kids were running around ringing doorbells in the 36500 block of Chester Road.

They were playing hide-and-seek. Police told them, “Game over.”

Maybe a Rabbit’s Foot Would Have Brought Him Luck

A large turtle tried to cross Interstate 90 on May 19 around mile marker 154. Police were called to get him, because he was a hazard. Sadly, he was a little slow in crossing the road, and was struck and killed before police arrived.

Northwest Mutual reported May 19 that someone had hacked into their phone service and was making international calls.
