
Someone broke into in the early morning of May 9 and stole the cash box.
Avon police were called shortly before 10 a.m. A front window was broken out of the building. Police did not disclose how much cash was stolen. The case remains under investigation.

A woman was charged with DUI after police were called about her red pickup being stopped on Moore Road just north of Chester Road around 9:24 p.m. on May 9. A second caller told police that Kristin Guthrie, 29, told them she was intoxicated.

Police were called around 5:39 a.m. on May 7 after a Rosewood Blvd. resident saw a child throwing rocks at lamp posts and garages in the neighborhood. The child was gone when police arrived. Several light globes were found knocked from garages.
Soup of the Evening
A wayward turtle spent some time in the street on Reserve Way during the evening of May 8, then showed up in a yard in the neighborhood and was decidedly unfriendly. Police came and put the turtle back in a nearby pond.

A pony escaped from a corral near Long and Detroit Roads, and led police and others on a short chase before being caught.
Imposter
A South Fall Lake Drive man found out on May 9 that someone was posing as him on Facebook, and sending friend requests to the man's son and the son's friends. He was advised by Avon police to contact Facebook, and to get the word out to his son's friends and their parents about the fake profile.
Five-Finger Discounts Thwarted
Two women described as "argumentative" after allegedly being caught shoplifting at were charged with theft.
Police were called just before 3 p.m. on May 9. April Sharick, 29, and Terina Jones, 48, were arrested.
Did They Fall Off A Truck?
A man and a woman were spotted by a Carleen Avenue resident on May 9 trying to sell dehumidifiers out of their car. The pair claimed they were visiting a friend on Lorie, and agreed to stop trying to sell the dehumidifiers.
Attempted Break-In
Someone tried to use a pry bar to break into a doctor's office on Wisteria Way overnight on May 6. Police reported a window was damaged.
