Beachwood High School Student Excels on 'Teen Jeopardy!'

Anshika Niraj's episode, which aired Tuesday, interrupted by Obama's address

Though a surprise address from President Barack Obama interrupted the broadcast, spokesperson Doug Levin said 16-year-old Anshika Niraj did fairly well on her appearance on Teen Jeopardy! Tuesday.

She earned around $17,000, one of the highest scores so far, added Levin, and could make it to the final round, which airs next week.

Fifteen teens are competing for a $75,000 grand prize in the tournament, whose episodes air until May 11.

The shows have already been filmed but Niraj is not permitted to discuss her performance until they all air.

ABC aired about half the show before the presidential address cut in.
