Bison Baseball Field Fit for Use

Study concluded last year that field may not be usable this spring

Six months after a September 2011 study that concluded was baseball field was in dire need of rest and repair, it is in great condition and in use, said school officials.

The district commissioned a study last fall

The area with the most serious damage was the outfield of the varsity baseball field, where the football practice field overlaps. Overuse had led to divots and had prevented grass from growing in areas in this overlap.

The district’s efforts combined with an unusually dry winter has left the fields in tip-top condition for spring, and the baseball teams have played on them since the start of the season last week.

In fact, said Athletic Director Ryan Peters, parents have complimented the school on the shape of the fields.
